Description
“Acoustic Isles” is the culmination of Doran’s acoustic guitar works. Starting with “Harsh Romantics” (1982 / Synton), “The Return Traum vom Weggehen Schiff” (1986), and continued with “Phoenix” (1990 / Hut Kunst) and “What a Band” (1992). The former were described as “Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man”; “Acoustic Isles” is a “Portrait of the Artist as a Mature Adult” … But here, too, it marks the beginning of a collaboration between Christy Doran and Susanne Dubs (Visuals), called “clear and dark.”
